Frequently asked questions

How long do they last?

With care, a full-grain leather boot lasts for years and often can be resoled. The leather is chosen to age and soften with the rider, so a well-kept pair only gets better.

How do I care for the leather?

Clean off mud, condition the leather with a balm, and let it dry away from direct heat. The boot care set has everything you need to keep the leather soft and supple.

Is it a medical or safety device?

No. It is a leather riding boot. It is footwear, not a medicine and not a certified safety device — for hazardous work, use purpose-made protective boots.

How should they fit?

Snug at the heel and through the ankle, with a little room in the toe. The leather softens and moulds to your foot with wear, so start snug and they will settle to a perfect fit.

Are they good for riding?

Yes. The shaped shaft supports the leg, the narrow heel sits securely in the stirrup, and the leather sole holds firm against the leather of the stirrup — the classic riding boot design.

What makes them gaucho boots?

They follow the gaucho tradition of Argentina's pampas — a full-grain leather boot with a shaped shaft, a snug heel for the stirrup and a sole that grips. They are made for riding and built to last.
